Schmenu
Have you ever had a craving for a specific food, but couldn't find it? Schmenu is designed to help you solve this problem!
Schmenu has been designed so you will be searching and exploring items by food name instead of restaurant name. Check out ratings on each food item by other people, leave ratings for them yourself, and look for places that have the one thing that you're craving!
Schmenu is my capstone project, built from an idea I've had for years. I'm continuously working on adding features to my app, but being able to finally implement an idea into a real working app is like a dream come true!
Table For Two
Table-For-Two is a full stack application designed for planning out your next perfect date! Browse through all kinds of dating ideas to find the best one for your needs, make reservations, check your reservations, and view honest reviews from users of all the date locations to decide if you would like to reserve a date there!
The application is made with a React frontend, and the backend is a Flask server with a SQLAlchemy database.
This project is the result of a group effort, and I am very proud to not only have been able to contribute to the coding and design of the project, but also to have managed the team as Scrum master in order to create an Agile workflow. Working together, we were able to create this wonderful app, while learning and adding new technologies that were not covered by our education!
3fiD Huntr
I designed 3fiD Huntr as an app inspired by Product Hunt, but made so it is easier to compare the different features of a 3d printer. The results can be filtered by feature, and details of the printers are included, along with reviews and helpful videos.
Made with a React frontend and an Express backend with an SQL database, this was my first ever solo project, using Redux to manage the unidirectional state in order to simplify the React components and allow scalability.
I hope to be able to eventually share this with the 3d printing community in order to make it easier for people everywhere to be introduced to this wonderful and useful hobby, and hopefully have an easier time when making a choice for a new printer!
Pixel 8
Based loosely on Medium, Pixel8 is a site made to to allow users to browse a variety of game related articles, including game reviews, walkthroughs, opinions, and news etc.
This was our very first project as a software engineer, and was the effort of 3 very hard-working but independant students. We were able to meet and exceed the goals within our timeframe, and very proudly were able to present one of the most polished projects within our cohort. The collaboration was amazing, and all 3 of us were able to contribute greatly in our own ways, resulting in a smooth and efficient work group being able to tackle all the problems together, but otherwise trusting and relying on each other to get any work that was assigned completed well before the deadline.
